Matthew Johnson grew up and was raised in West Monroe, North Louisiana.  He went to the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration. Matthew joined Capital One Bank in 2012 on their retail bank side, quickly moving up to junior financial advisor of Capital One Investing in Baton Rouge. Eventually, moving into his most recent former role of Senior Financial Advisor, vice president. While at Capital One, he acquired his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. After Capital One Investing decided to sell the firm to Woodbury Financial in 2018, Matthew made the decision to go independent with LPL Financial and start his own practice.

Matthew helps clients of all industries and points in their life cycle; small business owners, retirees, and the soon to be retired. Specializing in holistic financial planning including: Retirement, income, tax planning strategies, insurance, and estate planning strategies.

 

Matthew currently lives in Prairieville with his wife, Tonya, and two sons Oliver and Remy. He enjoys playing golf and traveling with his family.
